Currencies & Charges
We can’t put in words just how much Apron eases the hassle with multi-cost shipments.
You can add or change any rates or charges at any time, assign a supplier and a currency to each of them and see the profit being converted instantly to your home currency. Having 5 different currencies in your calculation is not a nightmare anymore. Just as easy is to manage the selling side. You’re always aware of the total profit when making a booking.
Speed & Reliability
All your data is in a cloud-hosted database and synchronized in real time to every connected client. No more refreshing and waiting. Any changes to the data are simply popping up instantly. All you need is an internet connection and a browser.
We use a content delivery network (CDN), which is a geographically distributed group of servers that caches content close to end users, providing our system with even shorter response time.
Independence & Security
We’re not part of any business network or alliance, nor we are owned by anyone or have shares anywhere. We are 100% independent private company and we treat the customer‘s privacy to the same extent as we treat our own – it means our data is no one else’s business.
While CDN impatcs performance (as we stated in the previous box), its security benefits are equally significant, especially the protection against DDoS attacks.
About us
Getting tired of rigidity and weak performance of conventional IT systems throughout the industry, in 2021 Tomas and Petr founded Skybite – a software company focusing on a friendly user interface and experience. Their flag ship project is called Apron – a system which is focusing on a specific range of functions in supreme quality, abandoning the conventional concept of extensive but dubious product.
Tomas Krigler
founder / consulting & implementation
Tomas began working in air cargo industry in 2010 as a regional cargo sales representative for Czech Airlines and later became an account manager for Delta Cargo in the Czech Republic. For Delta Tomas was responsible both for revenue and operations of their daily wide-body flights to New York and Atlanta. From the corpo life he then switched to work in a private GSSA company, where he participated in the development of the Total Cargo Management for Smartwings, the largest Czech carrier at the time, immersing himself further into a shipment‘s life cycle and increasing awareness of cargo procedures of nearly 20 more airlines.
Petr Skalicka
founder / head of software development
Although he started working earlier, Petr’s formative years began in 2005, when, in addition to college, he began coding websites as a freelancer, with the American Chamber of Commerce as one of his main clients. Petr didn’t miss out on a corporate episode either, because in 2011 he started working for Volkswagen where he organized ad-hoc transports for automotive parts. His next milestone came in 2013 when he was in charge of all logistics for a forklift rental company, and where he was developing their in-house system as he went along. Peter’s constant improvement in coding and his familiarity with multiple languages led him to Factorify, a modern ERP+CRM comprehensive system, where he eventually worked his way up to senior programmer.
